ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Jobber come up in almost every "what software should I use?" conversation for home-service businesses. They aren't really three versions of the same thing, though. Jobber and Housecall Pro are built so an owner can sign up, try them on real jobs and see the price. ServiceTitan is sold through a demo and a per-technician quote, and it's aimed at shops with office staff.

This page puts all three side by side and links to our deeper head-to-head guides. Everything here comes from each company's own pricing page or help center, checked on October 27, 2026. Prices are regular (non-promotional) prices in USD and exclude sales tax.

What you'd pay by team size

Jobber and Housecall Pro bundle users differently, so the cheapest option flips depending on how many people need a login. These are the published regular prices per month:

A few patterns stand out:

  • Solo owners pay least on Jobber Core, but Core doesn't include automated client reminders or automatic payments. Those start on Connect. If you need them, Housecall Pro Basic ($59 annual) is cheaper than Jobber Connect ($99 annual).
  • At five users the annual prices tie at $149, and Housecall Pro is $10 a month cheaper month to month.
  • Bigger crews do better on Jobber's 10- and 15-user tiers than on Housecall Pro MAX plus $35 a head, at least on the published numbers. Just past a tier boundary, adding $29 users to the smaller Jobber tier can be cheaper than jumping a tier, so price both.
  • The month-to-month column matters more than most people expect. See our monthly vs annual billing guide for break-even math and refund terms.

Which features sit on which plan

Jobber: best for owner-operators and recurring-service crews

Jobber has the lowest entry price of the three and clear user tiers, which suits cleaners, lawn care crews and handymen with lots of repeat visits. The catch is that the features recurring-service businesses lean on, such as automated reminders, automatic card-on-file payments and checklists, start on Connect, not Core. Job costing and two-way texting start on Grow. Jobber offers three billing options, and only the no-commitment option lets you leave at the end of any month.

Housecall Pro: best for small trade shops that want trade features early

Housecall Pro puts a price book, job costing, online booking and review management on its entry plan, which suits HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops that quote from a price list. Essentials adds flat-rate pricing, commissions, employee GPS tracking and QuickBooks Online sync for up to 5 users. MAX adds Recurring Service Plans for maintenance agreements, route optimization and an open API for up to 8 users. Housecall Pro says it doesn't require long-term contracts, and its monthly prices are only $20 to $40 a month higher than its annual prices.

ServiceTitan: get a quote once you have office staff

ServiceTitan describes "per-technician pricing" across three packages. Starter covers dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and a pricebook. Essentials adds mobile estimates and payroll management. The Works adds configurable payroll, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships. There's no dollar figure on the page, and there's a demo instead of a trial.

Its help center also says that if you signed up for the minimum access level of three managed technicians, you're billed for three even if you've added fewer. Helpers and apprentices may not count as managed technicians. For a one- or two-tech shop, that's a real cost to ask about. Our Housecall Pro vs ServiceTitan guide lists the questions to ask before you sign.

Which should you choose?

Choose Jobber if: you're solo or run a recurring-service crew (cleaning, lawn care, handyman), want the lowest published entry price, or have 10 to 15 people and want a flat user tier. Try Jobber free for 14 days

Choose Housecall Pro if: you run a small HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop, want a price book and job costing from day one, or sell maintenance plans with up to 8 users. Try Housecall Pro free for 14 days

Get a ServiceTitan quote if: you have full-time office staff booking and dispatching, you're adding technicians every year, and you'll compare a written per-technician quote (including any minimum) against the published prices above. Request ServiceTitan pricing

Trial tip: whichever you test, start on monthly billing, run a week of real jobs through it (one recurring visit, one quote and one card payment), and only switch to annual once you're sure you'll stay.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheapest: ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or Jobber?

For a solo owner, Jobber: Core is $29/mo billed annually or $49/mo with no commitment, versus $59/mo annually or $79/mo monthly for Housecall Pro Basic (checked Oct 27, 2026). ServiceTitan doesn't publish prices, so it can't be compared without a quote. Its help center mentions a minimum of three managed technicians.

Does ServiceTitan publish its prices?

No. ServiceTitan's pricing page (checked Oct 27, 2026) lists three packages (Starter, Essentials and The Works), describes per-technician pricing and shows "Request Pricing" on each. Any dollar figure you see elsewhere is someone's quote, not an official price.

Is Housecall Pro or Jobber better for a team of five?

On annual billing, they cost the same: Jobber Connect with 5 users and Housecall Pro Essentials with 5 users are both $149/mo. Month to month, Housecall Pro Essentials is $189 versus $199 for Jobber Connect with no commitment. Housecall Pro Essentials adds flat-rate pricing, commissions and employee GPS tracking. Jobber Connect adds automated reminders, automatic payments, checklists and time and expense tracking.

Do all three offer free trials?

Jobber offers a 14-day free trial of its Grow plan and Housecall Pro a 14-day trial of MAX, both with no credit card required. ServiceTitan offers a demo and a pricing request rather than a self-serve trial.

What are the card processing fees?

Jobber lists 2.9% + 30¢ for online card payments, 2.7% + 30¢ for Tap to Pay and 1% for bank (ACH) payments. Housecall Pro says card rates start at 2.59%, with 1% for bank payments. ServiceTitan doesn't list processing rates on its pricing page.

Which one handles maintenance plans or memberships?

Housecall Pro puts Recurring Service Plans on MAX ($299/mo billed annually). ServiceTitan shows Customizable Memberships on The Works, its top quote-priced package. Jobber's pricing page doesn't list a membership feature, but it supports recurring jobs and, from Connect up, automatic payments for recurring work.
