Pest control is a route business. You've got quarterly residential services, monthly commercial accounts, and state rules about recording every chemical you apply. General home-service apps can handle the scheduling, but they rarely think about bait-station barcodes or chemical-use logs. GorillaDesk is built for exactly this kind of recurring, route-based work, and it publishes its prices. This review covers what you'd pay as a solo operator or a small company, and where the plan lines fall.

We haven't run a pest route on GorillaDesk ourselves. This review is based on GorillaDesk's official pricing page, help center and product pages, checked on October 19, 2026.

GorillaDesk pricing, explained

GorillaDesk charges per route (it also calls them schedules). Everyone else is free: admins, managers, office staff, sales and crew members who don't run their own schedule. There are no setup fees or contracts, and data migration is free.

From GorillaDesk's pricing page, Oct 19, 2026. USD, billed monthly.
Plan1 routeEach extra route3 routes (our math)
Basic$49/moRoutes 2 to 3: +$50 each. Route 4+: +$30 each$149/mo
Pro$99/mo+$50 each$199/mo
Growth$149/moRoute 2: +$100. Route 3+: +$50 each$299/mo

A few things to know:

  • Riding together saves money. Two techs in one truck can share one route assigned to the crew leader. Two techs driving separately need two routes.
  • Annual billing gets you one month free (you pay for 11), according to GorillaDesk's help center. Annual plans are billed up front.
  • The help center and pricing page differ slightly. The help center describes Basic as $50 per added schedule, while the pricing page lists $30 from route 4. If you have 4 or more routes, confirm the number on the pricing slider.
  • Seasonal? GorillaDesk says you can freeze your account instead of cancelling.

The extra costs: texting and phones

  • SMS: $5/mo for a local texting number (it forwards calls to your main line), plus prepaid packs that never expire: $50 for 1,000 texts, $100 for 2,500, or $200 for 8,000. Only outgoing texts use credits.
  • VoIP phone system (optional): GorillaDesk's help center says its phone plans start at $65/mo per user.

For a one-route company that texts reminders and "on my way" messages, budget roughly $5/mo plus about $50 every few months for texts, on top of the plan.

What's on each plan

Basic ($49) covers the core of a pest route:

  • Invoices, estimates and work orders, with advanced invoice frequencies
  • Job and customer mapping, and basic routing (up to 25 stops at a time)
  • Material tracking and reporting for chemical use records
  • Automated email and SMS appointment confirmations, reminders and late-payment messages
  • Square and Stripe integration for online payments
  • Broadcast messaging, note and to-do templates, triggered automations, and 20 built-in reports
  • Unlimited admin users and mobile devices, plus email, phone and chat support

Pro ($99) is where most recurring pest businesses land. GorillaDesk's own help center says about 95% of its customers end up on Pro. It adds:

  • Stripe and Square subscriptions for automated recurring billing (bill monthly even if you service quarterly)
  • A customer portal and online booking
  • Documents and e-signatures, with a library of state-specific forms and agreements according to the help center
  • Device tracking and barcoding for traps and bait stations, with trend reporting
  • Routing with real-time street drive times ("Drive Matrix"), and GPS tracking with location history
  • QuickBooks Online sync, review generation, production and sales commissions, multi-unit buildings, time clocking, Zapier and an open API

Growth ($149) adds sales tools: map-based property measuring, drive-time display, "best available time" and "job magnet" scheduling helpers, dynamic estimates and estimate packages, a sales pipeline with reporting, custom fields and job statuses, and multi-branch support.

What we like

  • Transparent pricing. Prices are published, office users are free, and there are no setup fees or contracts.
  • Pest-specific features: chemical tracking on every plan, and device barcoding and state forms on Pro.
  • Recurring billing that separates service frequency from billing frequency.
  • Free migration and unlimited training. The help center says a migration usually takes 2 to 5 business days.

What to watch

  • Basic is missing recurring auto-billing and QuickBooks sync. For most recurring pest businesses, budget for Pro at $99 per route.
  • Solo techs each need a route. A company where five techs each drive alone pays for five routes.
  • Texting isn't included. It's cheap, but it's an extra line on the bill.
  • Imports have limits. GorillaDesk imports contact info, service and billing addresses, notes and a starting balance, but not complete past service or billing history. Export your old records before you switch.

Who should pick something else

If most of your work is one-off jobs (handyman, plumbing, HVAC repair), route-based pricing and pest features won't help much. A general app like Jobber or Housecall Pro is a better fit. See our Jobber vs Housecall Pro vs Workiz comparison. If you do switch to a general app for pest work, check that it can produce the chemical-use records your state requires before you commit.

Verdict

GorillaDesk is a strong pick for solo and small pest, mosquito and lawn-treatment companies running recurring routes. Plan on Pro ($99/mo for one route) if you want auto-billing, a customer portal and QuickBooks sync, and use the 14-day trial to run a real week of routes. Try GorillaDesk free for 14 days
